In full transparency I have tell all my dedicated clients that my computer system got compromised on June 11, 2025, and 9 fraudulent tax returns were filed to the Internal Revenue Service.  Those 9 people were notified by mail once I found out about this violation and tax return refund theft.  I am extremely proactive in notifying the Internal Revenue Service, my tax programs and my local Police Department to try and get this matter handled in the proper fashion.  I am a small business and take so much pride in my clientele and staff that I am beyond heartbroken and pissed that hackers went after my computer systems in the early morning between 12am - 2am.  Please remember to log off your computers every night so you don't become a victim.   I took so many steps in the last week to prevent this from happening again.  All the computers and server were searched and built again from scratch so there are no foreign files or whatever you call what the hackers used to get into my computers.  We took 3 days to make sure everything in my office was clear of any outside programs, files and bugs.  

What I did learn from talking to all the fraud departments at the IRS and Intuit and the actual logs from that night was only 9 people were affected, and everyone else's information is still safe and secure and not touched by the hacker/criminal.  If you feel more comfortable and want to discuss this further, please contact the office.  I know this is a lot to take in right now, but it is being handled.   ~ Leah
